DIGITAL CITIZENS: ESTONIA IS HOME!

Imagine a country without red-tape.  No long lines, no taxi cabs shuttling you from one government office to another – no hassles.  Now close your eyes and imagine that one a small credit card sized piece of plastic, your digital identity and signature, is the gateway to all of an entire country’s service platform.  With your own signature, you can set up your own business, file reports, sign contracts and more – all from the comfort of your own PC.  In addition, this fantastic tool is for everyone.  It allows us to connect in ways we didn’t think possible.

Near shoring is the idea of connecting digital workforces around the world under a common and singular platform – an equal playing field and language that allows all involved to easily manage their business affairs.  Instead of send documents around the world by courier, digital citizens can agree to sign contracts using their chip and pin cards.  These signatures are recognised by the entire European Union, Switzerland and Norway.  In effect they are legally binding and they save so much time and hassle.

In this regard, near shoring allows us to form teams that are “in Estonia” but perhaps physically in other places.

Let’s take an example – you need a graphic designer who specialises in retouching photographs of post modern buildings.  You’ve found one great guy in Lviv, Ukraine.  This contractor must not only work with you, based in Nambia for three months, but also with another contractor specialising in physical photographic reproduction based in Riga, Latvia.  Add on top of that your personal assistant, based in Glasgow, who must manage all of these contractors and their contracts whilst you zip around the globe.  By creating a common platform for these digital citizens to work in and on, we create efficiencies that lead to better business.

And if you ever really did visit Estonia, you might find that its fierce independence, interesting and challenging language and amazingly peaceful surrounds are actually conducive to creating great ideas and calling this place home.  Did you know that in Estonia Skype and Taxify were invented?  The old town of Tallinn is the perfect mix of the discretion of Zürich and the medieval qualities of Prague.  And if you’re an official resident, public transport and health insurance is included in your taxes.    And of course if you’re not used to the cold, Tallinn’s airport has non stop flights to a variety of comfortably warm destinations year-round.  You can also enjoy the flexibility of running your business from Estonia and consulting and living throughout the world as a digital nomad.  In Estonia the possibilities are endless. We offer a full package of setting up your Estonian business, assisting with your residency permit, changing your driver’s license and becoming an EU resident starting at just 25,000 EUR.  Welcome to Estonia.
