MALTA – A CORRUPT COUNTRY WITH THE POTENTIAL TO BE A PARADISE

Imagine what it would be like to live in a Europe where poverty simply did not exist.  Malta is the perfect example of a country that wallows in poverty thinking. Surrounded by decrepit buildings, faeces filled streets, and with intermittent electricity, Malta’s poorest citizens have no choice but to sit and suffer in a ‘poverty thinking environment.’  They have been trained by their government that it is acceptable to live in filth, squalor and unsafe conditions.  After years of neglect, citizens in Malta accept their fate and do not demand better.

Compare this mentality to other countries. In the Netherlands and Switzerland, doors falling off of apartment buildings and animal waste in the streets are sacrilege. But we must ask why does a Maltese person think it’s acceptable to litter their own country in broad daylight and why would a Swiss or a Hollander think seriously before destroying their own country. The answer is simple – prosperity thinking. Swiss and Hollanders are surrounded by nicer cars, well maintained roads, have modern conveniences and have less corruption in their governments. They can’t help but to think only about upward trajectories.

Bridging the gap between these two mentalities is a central focus at Ahper. We are ready to take on your policy challenge, lobby the right persons, and implement aggressive policy changes to equalise and normalise the fact that is a human right to live in a prosperous, fair and free society in Europe and beyond.
